BONELA draws its membership from individuals and organizations who share our overall values and vision. The BONELA membership is organized into several sectors, including: MARPS Sector (Organisations led by and for Most at Risk Populations – MARPS), People Living with HIV (PLWHIV) Sector, Research, Policy and Law Sector, Trade Unions Sector, Business Sector, and Individual members. Members resource BONELA’s work (knowledge, skills, relationships) and ground us in a constituency which gives legitimacy to our work.

BONELA keeps its members updated about and involved in human rights, ethical and legal issues surrounding health in Botswana. Its growing number of members hail from many backgrounds, including the legal and academic communities, community-based organisations, public and private sector, people living with HIV/AIDS and other concerned individuals. Members receive BONELA publications and materials and an invitation to the Annual General Meeting, at which the Board is elected every two years. A one-year Individual membership costs BWP100 and Institutional membership costs BWP200.
