BONELA CELEBRATES MADIBA’S LIFE

The Botswana Network on Ethics, Law and HIV/AIDS joins the international community and indeed South African’s, to pay tribute to the greatest legend of our time.

The life of Mandela is a true testament of selflessness, humility, courage and above all, unconditional love for all.

Mandela fought all the ills in South Africa. We at BONELA credit him for the new South Africa that has a Constitution which underpins key values of inclusivity, equality and non-discrimination. He fought against apartheid, racist, homophobia and discrimination based on sexual orientation and HIV status. He used the HIV status of his son to teach the world about HIV and raised money to support HIV causes. Madiba may be gone but his legacy will live on. We will forever be inspired by his quest for equality, peace, reconciliation, equity, justice, and human rights.

We urge all persons of the world to have a bit of Mandela in them for the world to be a better place for all.

Lastly, we send our deepest condolences to the Madiba’s family.
