Track Record 

Over the past 19 years, BONELA has profiled its niche in the HIV/AIDS, health and human rights sector as well as committed to the seven (7) Principles of the Right to Health for the removal of human rights related barriers to health services. This involves looking at issues around human rights as it relates to availability, accessibility, affordability, acceptability, quality, and participation in health services, as well as other determinants of health.

BONELA’s efforts towards addressing human rights related barriers to TB/HIV services and community systems strengthening are aligned to national, regional, and global priorities. Notable accomplishments during BONELA’s implementation include the following key achievements and programming track record as aligned to the seven (7) key programme areas in the Botswana National Strategic Plan to Reduce Human Rights – Related Barriers to HIV and TB services:
